La Grange, Calif. – The community support for the Wild West Bass Trail (WWBT) Pro/Am stop at Don Pedro Reservoir continues to grow as Black Oak Casino Resort sweetens the pot with a bonus contingency and the Tuolumne County Visitor’s Bureau, Oakdale Tourism and Visitor’s Bureau and Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation welcomes the 2018 WWBT Dobyn’s Cup Challenge on Woodward Lake.
BLACK OAK CASINO RESORT CONTINGENCY BONUS
Adding more ways to win, The Black Oak Casino Resort will payout a bonus contingency for the March 2 – 4 Pro/Am event at Don Pedro The top-3 pro anglers will earn an additional payout of $1,000, $750 and $500 for their respective finishes.
As the host hotel, the Black Oak Casino Resort will be the site of the WWBT Pedro registration and banquet. They offer gaming, musical entertainment, dining options, RV and resort-style lodging as well as all ages family fun with its 24-lane Brunswick Bowling Center.
Additional event lodging will be hosted by the Best Western in Sonora.
DOBYN’S CUP CHALLENGE INVITATIONAL
The community support and involvement shown by the Tuolumne County Visitor’s Bureau, Oakdale Tourism and Visitor’s Bureau and Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation has allowed the WWBT to bring the 2018 Dobyns Cup Challenge to the area.
The WWBT Invitational will take place at Woodward Lake. Located in Oakdale, the fishery is a trout-stocked 2,900-acre reservoir surrounded by Woodward Reservoir Regional Park.
During the nationally televised tournament, WWBT will highlight the local community and attractions available in Tuolumne County, which truly seem limitless. There is something for most every outdoor recreation enthusiast with a trip to Gold Country that can include the Gold Rush-era towns of Jamestown, Sonora and Columbia.
Hikers, campers, fishermen and river rafters can visit the High Sierra, Stanislaus National Forest, the world-famous Yosemite National Park or Kennedy Meadows and Pack Station, which can include guided horseback trips. Even golfers can find their game in the area with the beautiful 18-hole course at the Pine Mountain Lake Golf and Country Club which also touts a lake, lodge, campsites, shooting range, equestrian center, horseshoe pits, archery range and more.

The WWBT debuted in 2016. The trail includes a Pro/Am circuit and two Teams circuits – one based in California and the other in Arizona. For 2018, the WWBT will also host the Surprise Ford Lake Pleasant Team Open.
