20 years ago today Trish Werking set the women’s 3 kg (6 lb) line class world record for dolphinfish with this 24.72-kilogram (54-pound 8-ounce) fish that she caught on December 28, 1997 while fishing out of the famed Tropic Star Lodge in Pinas Bay, Panama.
Werking, an experienced light-tackle angler, needed 30 minutes to subdue the beautiful dorado after it ate the bait she was trolling.
