‘FLW OUTDOORS’ TV SHOWCASES ICAST GADGETS, GOES BEHIND SCENES OF RANGER BOATS AND MANN’S BAIT CO.

MINNEAPOLIS (March 2, 2004) — This week on “FLW Outdoors” television, co-hosts Carlton Wing and Taylor Carr will walk the floor of ICAST, the nation’s largest recreational-fishing trade exposition. They will demonstrate the new innovations and gadgets introduced at the convention that are available to anglers.

The program will also go behind the scenes of Ranger Boats. The crew will be in Flippin, Ark. – home of Ranger Boats – to get an up-close look at how the world’s best bass boats are made. FLW Outdoors is named after the legendary founder of Ranger Boats, Forrest L. Wood.

“FLW Outdoors” will also give viewers an inside look at Mann’s Bait Co. FLW Outdoors announced earlier this year that it had produced a new line of soft plastics and jigs that would be available exclusively at Wal-Mart stores. The baits are now flying off the shelves, and Mann’s is the bait company behind the production line. The program will show how the baits are made. The soft plastics and jigs were designed with input from some of the world’s best professional anglers, including 2003 Wal-Mart FLW Tour Championship winner David Dudley, 2003 FLW Tour Atchafalaya Basin winner Paul Elias, 2003 Bassmaster Classic champion Mike Iaconelli, 2003 Land O’Lakes Angler of the Year Dan Morehead and the legendary Hank Parker.

The Outdoor Life Network broadcasts “FLW Outdoors” every Sunday from 1-2 p.m. EST and again on Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. EST. Check local listings for show times and channels in your area.

During each tournament show, “FLW Outdoors” television hosts Carlton Wing and Taylor Carr will go on location to provide on-the-water coverage. Tournament weigh-ins are broadcast live at Wal-Mart stores throughout the country and tape-delayed on “FLW Outdoors” by three weeks to bring audiences nationwide the best tournament footage possible throughout the season.
