Free Fly Fishing Seminar Hosted by Colorado Parks & Wildlife at Grand Junction

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Grand Valley Anglers are inviting novice anglers to FLy Fishing 101, a one-evening only seminar where they can learn all the basics from experienced anglers at CPW's Hunter Safety Building at 711 Independent Avenue in Grand Junction, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The program is designed for beginners. No experience is necessary and all equipment will be provided. Topics will include casting techniques and gear - including rods, reels and flies and insect biology. Participants will have the opportunity to dry-land cast to sharpen their newly learned skills.

Instructors include members of the Grand Valley Anglers chapter of The Western Colorado Trout Unlimited Club and Colorado Parks and Wildlife personnel will discuss laws and regulations.
