Key Buoy Saves Boat Keys

Whether for the boat, car or cabin, few things put a damper on the day more than dropping a set of keys in the water. Davis Instruments' patented Key Buoy is a key fob that automatically inflates a bright orange tube when immersed, making spotting and retrieval easy.

Key Buoy's plastic case pops open when exposed to water. The 14" high-visibility tube inflates in as fast as 60 seconds, lifting up to 2.8 oz. to the surface. It will float for over an hour. It can also be used for small tools and knives, and deck plate keys. This product is so unique, it won a Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show Innovation Award.

Small and lightweight, it'll hardly be noticed. It's only 2.4" L x 1.6" W x 0.6" H and weighs just over an ounce. Key Buoy is single use, but once deployed, both the shell and tube are recyclable.

Key Buoy has again caught the national spotlight. Once featured in Time and on ABC World News Now and Rachael Ray, its latest appearance is on the Emmy Award-winning THE LIST. Host Bradley Hasemeyer demonstrates the product's effectiveness on the episode, "Day at the Beach: 3 Cool Products for the Water," calling the innovative product "the orange pillar of hope." Key Buoy from Davis Instruments retails for $6.99.
