Lake Pickwick (Tennessee) Catch-A-Dream Bass Classic This Weekend

It's been talked about and talked about for months. Now it's almost time for the 2015 Pickwick Lake Catch-A-Dream Bass Classic. Anglers not signed up for the event taking place out of Pickwick Landing State Park still have an opportunity to enter the tournament.

Entry fees are still being accepted online until Friday May 29th at noon. (Registration for the tournament can be done online at catchadream.org/pickwick). Onsite entries at Pickwick Landing State Park will be taken in the morning before the official takeoff.

A mandatory pre-tournament meeting will be held Friday May 29th at First Baptist Church in Counce, TN. Anglers are encouraged to attend the pre-tournament meal being served by the First Baptist Church of Counce Youth Group from 5:30pm-7:00pm with the angler meeting immediately following. Each paid entry into the 2015 Pickwick Lake Catch-A-Dream Bass Classic includes two pre-tournament meal tickets.

Additional guest meat tickets can be purchased at the door for $8 each. Friends and family are encouraged to attend the pre-tournament meal and meeting. A silent auction with the proceeds going to the Catch-A-Dream Foundation will be held during the meal and meeting.

Items donated in the silent auction include a one-of-a-kind collectable Daisy BB Gun Red Ryder with the Catch-A-Dream Foundation logo laser engrave in the stock. ......(any other donations will be added on to the list as they come in) The 2015 Pickwick Lake Catch-A-Dream Bass Classic is expected to draw a large turnout with first place paying $5,000 to the winning team based on a 80 boat field or prorated accordingly for fewer boats. Phoenix Boats has sanctioned it a Tier Two First Flight Program event. Bass Cat Boats has also sanctioned it as sanctioned Quest program event.

New divisions for the 2015 Pickwick Lake Catch-A-Dream Bass Classic are couples and youth. Couples and youth divisions will be competing in their division, in addition to the two person team division. To enter anglers are required to sign up when filling out their registration form.

Couple teams are required to have one adult male and one adult female over the age of 16. The couple team that finishes with the highest weight will win the division. Prizes to be announced at a later date. Youth teams are required to have one adult angler and one youth 8- to 15-years old. Gender doesn't matter in this division and the team with the highest weight will win the division. Prizes to be announced at a later date.

Fishing celebrity Joe Thomas will be emceeing the event at the Pickwick Landing State Park. Once a professional angler, Thomas now is the host of three Outdoor Channel series production TV shows. Several sponsorship agreements opportunities are also still available for the 2015 Pickwick Lake Catch-A-Dream Bass Classic. Pickwick Lake Catch-A-Dream Bass Classic is being promoted by Hammer Fishing Rods, Cross Power Inc. and B&H Outdoors. Catch-A-Dream Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization, based in Starkville, Mississippi.
