Lowrance® Angler Wins Cabela’s National Walleye Tour Event on Lake Winnebago

Korey Sprengel Wins Event Held May 10th and 11th
Tulsa, Okla. – Lowrance®, a world-leader in fishing electronics since 1957, recently announced that Lowrance professional angler Korey Sprengel won the Cabela’s National Walleye Tour event held May 10thand 11thon Lake Winnebago in Oshkosh, Wisc. Dominating the field, Lowrance fishfinders were used exclusively on 80 percent of the 116 boats competing.

For claiming the 2018 season opener, Sprengel, from Beaver Dam, Wisc., earned a Ranger 620FS with a 150-horsepower Mercury outboard. In addition, Sprengel took home $15,000 cash, and another $2,635 in Anglers Advantage cash. His winning purse totaled $82,635.

“I fished this tournament by spending a lot of time off the main lake looking at my Lowrance HDS,” said Sprengel. “I was fishing weeds, cane beds and rock piles. With the large amount of flow we had from the snow and rain, the fish were concentrated in specific areas. My practice wasn’t a lot of fishing, it was a lot of looking at new weed beds and new rock piles.”

“So many times, we have the opportunity to share stories of how Lowrance helps tournament anglers win the world’s largest bass-fishing competitions,” said Leif Ottosson, CEO, Navico. “What’s equally important to know is how Lowrance continues to dominate America’s walleye-tournament scene. Korey is a consistant performer at these events, and we are excited to offer him the functionality that he can count on to win.”
