788ci di combo trolling motor interference

Post by sbaker »

Hi I just purchased a 788 and have it mounted on the bow with the transducer on the trolling motor. When I hit the trolling motor I get just solid color up my screen until I let off. The transducer wires are not touching any of the power wires. The graphs power is coming off of my fuse panel. My trolling motor is an older motorguide 67lb thrust. I've been doing some research and have seen all kinds of different things people have said to do. Just curious as to where to start?

First I would start with adjusting the "Noise Filter" in the Sonar Master Menu: Off, Low, Med, High 1, High 2, High3 to see if this resolves it. If not Humminbird has been very proactive in providing solutions. Call HB Customer Service and they can help by working with you to resolve the concern. 800-633-1468
