797c2 nvb 959ci hd di interlink?

I have a 959CI HD DI on the bow with a terrova with I-pilot link, a di imaging transducer on the terrova , a 360 tranducer on the bow all connected using the AS ETH 5PXG Ethernet hub(switch). I also have a 797C2 NVB on the transom with a DI transducer on the transom. It appears I cannot add the 797 to the Ethernet hub as it doesn't have an ethernet port. However, it appears I can use a interlink hub on the 797. Is there any advantage to using the interlink hub to link it to the 959? Could I attach the797 to the interlink hub and then connect the interlink hub to the AS ETH 5PXG Ethernet hub? Any advice would be appreciated.
