Attn Bay area Bird hunters!

Post by rickd »

I don’t know if a lot of you guys know this but you can hunt the salt ponds (not so much salt in them now) in Sunnyvale, Alviso, Newark and Mountain View before you head to work in the morning. For the second year now they have opened up these areas to hunt for duck and geese. Take a look at this link http://www.fws.gov/desfbay/ You have to have the permit to hunt it though, just download the PDF and send it in. I went into Don Edwards off Thornton and 84 and got it the same day.

My buddy took a walk out there the other day and said he has never seen so many birds in one area in his lifetime.

The blinds are all out there already, it's first come first serve! There is a place there where you can leave your boat all season long.

Pretty cool
