BassFest

Post by kraetzer »

How come there wasn't a single thread about the BassFest tournament in the fishing section? !?
I missed it completely! Sure it's my fault to not check the tournament section but it didn't even cross my mind that it wouldn't show up here prior to the tournament.
Guess I learned my lesson for next year but would also suggest to the organizers to promote it in the fishing section too.

I missed it because I don't have Facebook (believe it or not 8) ) and i didn't check the tournament section of WB. The previous year there was tons of chatter about the tournament and I just did a search and there wasn't a single thread about bassfest in the fishing section.

Sorry you choose to just read "one" forum. Western Bass has a lot to offer and you are really limiting yourself only looking at part of it.
Next time, you might want to check the "Main Forums" more often, especially since you knew the event was coming up. Thats where most of all the posts, events and people are. If you are only check one section you will miss out on this and a lot of other great events.
They have done a great promoting this event again this year and everyone up and down the state seemed to know about it and talk about it.
Did you even plan on fishing the event or did you even bother to go check out either of their web sites:
http://www.thebassfest.com/‎ or did you go to http://www.bestbasstournaments.com/

@blkdog812 I mentioned in my previous post that I screwed up by not checking the tournament but stop the BS about limiting myself by only checking one part of Westernbass (fishing section has almost 78000 topics and all other forums have about 4000 topics combined).
If you have a problem with me pointing out that it would be a good idea to promote a tournament in the fishing section than just say so.
Maybe you wanna do a search and check how many BassFest related topics where posted last year compared to this year

you didnt look very hard. heres one found under "BassFest" search in "Fishing", so
dont blame the promotors for the lack of chatter by the anglers.

Sorry if anyone missed the BassFest results post.
Next year we will try to make them more easy to find.

Lets move on to more fishing info. This topic will be locked.
