If you go to the 3:16 website ther talk about the bait and how it should work. I believe that they say to leave the legs together although I was fishing over the weekend and my partner was throwing it with legs apart. He got two hits. Missed the first and the second was a 3.5#. Hope this helps. Can't remember the web address but if you search 3:16 mission swim bait you'll find it.

if you leave the legs together it creates that pumping motion when you swim it in open water. When the legs are apart there is no rythem to the bait they just kinda flap all over.

I Googled every combination and couldn't find the website.

My neighbor kid ripped the legs apart on one of them, Igotta glue it back up.
