CBF Reg. 7 Pyramid 3/12/17

Post by Bryan K »

On Sunday 3/12/17 at Pyramid Lake, Calif. Bass Federation (CBF) will hold its 3rd tournament of the year. Entries must be mailed and received by Monday 3/6/17. Late entries will be accepted as the Draw numbers allow and are subject to a late fee.

The entry form and membership info can be found on the CBF website www.californiabass.org

CBF Regional tournaments are Draw format (Boaters and Non-Boaters are paired up through a random draw) and one of the few opportunities for Non-Boaters to fish tournaments at our local lakes. CBF tournaments are intended to be a low pressure and fun, yet still be competitive.

CBF Region 7 typically draws a mixture of club level anglers, novices, seasoned veterans, some of the top anglers from team circuits, and even a few pro level anglers. These tournaments are a great place to hone your tournament skills, meet new anglers, and learn new techniques. CBF is a non-profit organization that is intended to be fun and provide a shot at higher level events for those who want to pursue the next level.

CBF Region 7 2017 Schedule
1/21/17 Castaic Winner: Soon Chul Lee
2/26/17 Pyramid Winner: Robin Oh

5/6/17 Pyramid

Anglers at the CBF Regional tournaments compete for prize money and also points which are needed to qualify for the CBF State Championship tournament. The CBF State Championship and The Bass Federation (TBF) National Semi Final are the steps to the TBF National Championship where the grand prize – the ‘Living the Dream’ prize package – is awarded.

The Living the Dream package is valued at around $100,000 and includes a prize check, fully paid entry fees on the FLW Tour as a Pro, travel expense stipends for each event, and use of a “Living the Dream” wrapped Ranger boat for the year. The national champion will also advance to the world championship of bass fishing, the Forrest Wood Cup. More info can be found on the TBF website: TBF Living the Dream

The CBF State Championship, the TBF National Semi Final and the FLW National Championship are Ranger Cup sanctioned events, where qualified Ranger Boat owners are eligible to win additional Ranger sponsored prizes.
