Citica 200e7 Right Side Plate Removal

Post by BuckBishop »

Having a challenge getting the right side plate off my citica 200e7. Referred to the reel schematic and watched some quality shimano how to clean get at the drag system.

After removing the handle, star drag, star drag nut and the three plate screws I can't get the plate to budge around the level wind protector? It'll pull apart so far at the cast control cap area. Holding the cast control cap and rocking and I mean rocking it doesn;t want to budge?

What could I be missing?

If you open the left side plate you will see a flat head screw near the line guide end. This is actually a screw that passes through the line guide into the right side plate. Remove this and the side plate will come off.

I always try to buy from my local shop first to help support there business. I always figured sense they took the time to open a shop to help support my needs we all should do what we can to help them as well.
