Clearlake fishing conditions

Has any one been fishing Clearlake? Seems like you just have to find the fish, but it also sounds like it's picking up out of the lull of the last few weeks.

Thursday the water was 75 -77 degrees and water midlake is pretty clear ,some areas north are clear and some is stained
Fishing is a little tough .Plenty of 1-2 pounders .
For me the better bite is shallow less than 5 ft. Squarebills ,flipping
Weights are down a little from the norm.
There was a shad die off the other night and lots of dead shad in the Lucerne area
