Debris on the Delta

A leisurely boat, paddle or Jet Ski ride in the Delta could turn into a date with an obstacle course after recent storms and high tides left it looking like a beaver dam over the weekend.

And authorities said Monday that the high tides that brought the debris aren’t expected to recede soon.

I came across two partially submerged loose pilings last Monday, floating along. I'm sure they were washed up onto a levee wall until the recent high tides floated them off. One was in False River and one in Little Franks. I think they're called widowmakers, because they sit so low in the water that they're easy to miss until you hit one.
I'm sure there are more.
Running wide open right now is a real crap shoot.
