Delta Striper 12/23/06

Post by rexford »

Hey Gang,

I am new to this striper fishing in the Delta. I plan
on working the break and sherman area this
Saturday? Can anyone help me with the tides
for this date?

Thanks,
Mike

Ha ha ha...you're like me Mike. Here it is Monday morning and you're already thinking of the weekend.

One of the best sites for delta fishing out west is Lauritzens marina. www.lauritzens.com

From the homepage, you can get a real time look at wind and tide flow. They've got a towercam that monitors wind speed and direction.

For the tide, click on the "water" tab. You may need to do a little reseach as they have tides listed for two day periods.

Have fun. They're biting out that way so be prepared.

The bite was rough for me too. FIshed the break and Sherman
got 3 small fish on a white jerkbait nothing over 3 pounds. I know
where I wanted to fish but had a hard time finding the groves
in the break. GUess the tide was just a little to high. WIll keep
trying.

Thanks to Long and Ron for the help. If it was not for them I
would have blanked.
