Evans/Newman take control WON BASS Casitas 2/28

A perfect morning greeted 19 teams as they got ready to take on a temperamental Lake Casitas for the third tournament of the season on the WON BASS" Casitas Region" tour. Once again Brian Evans and Matt Newman showed their dominance on this tour as they put together a five bass bag weighing 21.91 pounds and collected $1,220.00 in cash for their days work. They also took a stronghold on the 2015 angler of the year race as they now have a 12 point margin between themselves and the number two ranked team Larry Elshere and his son Eric Elshere. Bill Griffith and his partner Chris DeMoor are fan favorites and they put together a fantastic showing with a 21.80 pound sack of bass topped by a 6.25 pound big fish and collected $1,200.00 in cash for there second place finish. Marvin Barellano and Jesse Hernandez decided to cable their boat and fish Lake Casitas for the next few months. They didn't need any practice and cleared the 35 quarantine on the day of the tournament and launched their boat not knowing anything about Lake Casitas and put together a 14.55 pound bag of bass to collect third place and $370 in cash. Team Spencer MaKenzies John Karayan and his partner Fred Klinshaw dropped a 14.18 pound bag of bass on the scales and collected $200 in cash for their fourth-place finish.
