Fish very very slow. Only increase speed and change presentations if the fish tell you to. The bite has been tough out there. The bite will not go from dead to wide open overnight. It takes 3 days for fish to adjust to a new set of weather patterns on Folsom. Vary your presentation based on the conditions at the time and how long those set conditions have existed.

We will be discussing Folsom at the School of Bass class at Galaxe Marine tonight 6:30 PM

Don't kid yourself...

The water is not getting warmer and has been in and around the mid-40's for about 2 weeks solid. Although it has been warm during the days, the nights are keeping that surface temp very low combined with clear water. This clear water is extremely unusual for this time of year which is causing the fish to suspend and chase bait in open water. There are still fish to be caught on alot of the community holes throughout the lake, but we are in need of a nasty strom or two to come in and add color to the lake. Until that happens, this pattern of slow fishing will continue for some time. For now, look to different worm techiniques (drop, split and dart) in water from the surface down to around 30 ft. for keeper fish. Little to non-existant reaction bite becuase of this clear water/suspended fish deal, so that pretty much rules out blades, rips & swimmers for consistant action. Go out there and beat it up, good luck and let us know how you do.
