Post by Gary Dobyns »

There are lots of them. They are really cool and I've done some unique "things" and rods. I guarantee responses of:

Nobodys done that.

That's dumb because ..........

But you can't do that because........

QUESTION ON OUR SIDE OF THE FENCE WOULD BE. IS THERE LIKE BERKLEY, DIFFERENT PRICE RANGES, THE WANNA BEES , NEW COMERS AND CUSTOMERS THAT CAN ONLY AFFORD THE LESS EXPENSIVE RODS AND YET WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A GARY DOBYNS ROD. IT ON OUR SIDE OF THE FENCE RETAIL SPORTING GOODS TACKLE SHOPS FEEL THAT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU COME OUT WITH AN AFFORDABLE PRODUCT FOR US ALL ? THE $ 200, $ 300 RODS JUST LIKE THE EXPENSIVE TOURNAMENT FEES ARE GETTING OUT OF HAND FOR THE WORKING MAN/WOMAN/CHILD TO GET INTO THESE DAYS. WAGES HAVE NOT GONE UP AS WE CAN SEE, BUT PRICES SURE HAVE !

THANK YOU

Hey Mike, you forgot to include the old timer (me) you helped cross Clear Lake as well as promoting 'habitat improvement' to your fellow anglers (me again)!

Hows your 8' flippin stick? Will it be colapsable for us guys with small boats? Will it have full cork on the handle? I thought the Powel 8 footer was a little tip heavy. I think it was do to not having full cork on the but whick made it too light in the back, therefore making it tip heavy. But hey, what do I know? I just know it was tip heavy for me.

Swinbait rods?

Post by Colebass »

So is Mike Long on board as a "designer" as well?

Are you the only rod designer like you were on the last series of rods?

I keep seeing a lot of stuff out of that camp that says "design team", but I knew the whole design team.... :D ..............Just makes me go Hmmm.

Good luck my friend!

Knowing Gary's passion for perfection...

...you can bet that these rods will be "top drawer".

It's pretty amazing that a guy can design and develop a full line of outstanding rods TWICE and that his new rod lines will be far superior to the last ones that he designed.

Hey Colebass - Like they say: Desperate people do desperate things; like "buying" a pro staff. (I'd sure like to see what kind of rods they REALLY carry in their rod lockers). I definitely know one guy who will undoubtedly rush out and get a few Dobyns Rods. Like the old saying goes: "What goes around comes around". WELL HERE IT COMES BABY!

DeltaBound, Absolutely Not. That other outfit has not one damn thing to do with any part of this. Other than to have motivated Gary to design perhaps some of the finest fishing tools available at the present time. :D

This lineup will be competively priced, innovative, suit the style for which each was intended. and it is a very comprehensive line of rods. :D :D

They will be coming to a Tackle Store near you soon :D :D :D

My rods will be made overseas. Just like the other company you mentioned. I have no ties or nothing to do with them. I am planning to be up and running by the first of the year.

Can we also make a line of Kokanee Rods, or at least 6 of them : )

I'd love to be the first to use the Kokanee Series rod.

BTW what did you decide for a name? I think I missed it somewhere.

Good luck to you,

Sean
