Hobbs & Hobbs Take all the Marbles!

Post by Marc »

Congratulations to Ron Hobbs Sr. for catching the Big Bass at the Big Bass Blast on Lake Washington on Saturday. He weighed a largemouth over 6lbs to win the grand prize valued at around $15,000.

Congratulations also to Ron Jr., who weighed the heaviest 5 fish limit of over 21 pounds! Besides taking the biggest limit, he also garnered multiple hourly awards making his cash and gift prizes a very significant total.

Both Hobbs clearly ran away with this event again this year!

For those of you who didn't fish, you are missing the most fun tournament format available, and where else can you fish for so much money with only a $70 entry fee?

ciao,
Marc

Next Year...

Post by Marc »

...Western Bass Club needs to schedule their club tourney on Lake Washington for the following weekend so they can use the Big Bass Blast as a prefish. Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

How was the fishing at TriCities?

The Big Bass Blast wasn't very well attended considering all the bass anglers in the area. I didn't see a single person from eastern Washington, and nobody from Oregon. I just don't get it.

It just doesn't make sense not to support these efforts to bring big money tournaments to Washington, especially with small entry fees.

One day there will no longer be any worthwhile tournaments in Washington because they aren't profitable for the tournament organizers, and all the anglers are going to whine...

ciao,
Marc

Fishing in the Tri-cities was Ok although I had more problems with my charging system. Talked to the company about the problem and they snet me an $80.00 gage with no *@%&*$(@! instructions on hookup. I'm hoping I didn't make a big mistake with this thing, and it doesn't fail me this weekend when I'm fishing the "T".
