How has it been

I live a little ways from the delta and cant fish it as often as I would like.
How has the striper fishin been?
I love catching those things and I know how fun it can be when there in the system.
I just want to get up there and have some fun with them.
So im just asking--How it has been.

It's been slow this year. Very slow. But I found some stripers at Biship Cut in the evening. Caught several bass as well up to 3 lbs. Good luck.

So sad.I remember throwing pencil poppers all day with non stop action.
Sad to see such an amazing fishery decline.Its like the stripers wont even come into the system.
I spend so much money in gas between my 200hp and expedition to get to the delta only to catch 2,3-5lb fish.

Ditto to what everyone has said. there are some schools out there but you have to cover miles of water to have any success...try sloughs just off the main rivers for the best action. Slow roll a fish trap or your favorite swimbait near the bottom.
