Lake Coeur d'Alene in Idaho is consistently on the Bassmaster Top 100 list of lakes and has been ranked very high several times. Many people have never heard of it or don't know what makes it so good. The North Idaho American Bass Anglers team circuit had two events last weekend that show how good it can be.
The lake is full of big northern strain largemouth and fat smallmouth bass. It consistently takes these weights to do well. 28.66 took the win on Saturday. Tom and Tanner Mort won and had a 7.38lb Largemouth.
The second event was on Sunday and it took almost as much to win. Larry Fugate jr. and his son Kyler Fugate had 27.29lbs.
Here is another example of the possibilities of both largemouth and smallmouth.
