The Port of Sacramento is currently the hottest spot to catch striper. Drifting Jumbo minnows and Mudsuckers have been the Hot bait this week Fish up to 17lbs. Since access has been limited to the Outboard club members for so long most have not tried it. Last week someone removed the barrier from the old launch on the South side of the port. You can launch boats at will. I ask only that you dont abuse this priveledge. The port requires a 5mph speed limit in the basin from the lockes to the beginning of the channel. Plus you must stay 100 feet from the docks or any ship in the port. Unfortunatly I ran out of Jumbo minnows on Saturday, but I still have plenty of Mudsuckers.
