Lowrance settings

Post by cruizer »

Just istalled my Lowrance X105's at wheel and trolling motor. I don't know the settings I should set them to for the Delta and for Lakes. Should they be set diffrently for Delta and Lakes?

Cruizer,

I would leave everything on auto to start with. Then adjust the settings with changing conditions to see if you get a better return. Just play with sensitivity for example to see what settings work best for you. Experiment with all the menu options so you get to learn the menu and all the customization that can be done to the unit to meet your needs. You can't hurt the unit by changing all those menu items, you will learn a bunch though.

If you get to a place where you have settings that you don't want and can't remember how to get back to "normal". You can reset the unit to factory default settings. To do this, start with the unit off. Hold down the pages key and hit the power key. Keep holding down the pages key until the unit finishes the start up. This will reset everything, including any overlay data you have put on the screen.

One note for those of you who are reading this who have combo units, the reset process is the same but it will not erase any waypoints, routes or trails you have saved.
