What is a good rod to pair with the tranx? Maybe a good all around inshore and offshore. Sturgeon, salmon, striper, stuff like that.

There are several variables with the species you listed and the fishing styles. It's hard to pick one rod based on the info you provided.

I understand... sorry to throw it like that. I just seldom do saltwater anymore that I like to minimize the saltwater big game fish gear own. Since most of my money goes into bass gear.

If you could throw one out there, which one would you consider? If you had to pick I would say I mostly do striper and sturgeon.

But I really do love everything about the tranx. So i will pick one up, just need to pair it with something

Are you looking at Shimano or GLoomis rods?

I apologize for the delayed response. I was on a work trip and had my backpack stolen that had my laptop. I was not able to get online until today.

Good question, either company works. I can't wait for the reel to come out!

Are you looking for a rod to fish both striper and sturgeon? Or one for each? These are two very different fish with different techniques to catch them.

Give me until next week. I'm out on the road and do not have my catalogs with me. I'm still learning all the new model numbers for our products and the GLoomis side. I know what actions and length I want to suggest, I just can't remember the exact model numbers at the moment.
