Opinions on the Mercury 225 efi needed?

Need some opinions of the merc 225 efi. buying a used boat and need pro's and cons of engine if there are any. I am having the engine checked out by mechanic but am curious if this overall is a good engine.

Brian, I love mine with the exception that it does love the "go-go" juice. She'll drink you dry! Also it doesn't do to well against submerged logs! Har Seriously, it's a great motor and your doing the right thing by having it checked out.
