Over $30,000.00 paid out in Northwest Bass season opener!!!!

Post by Stiles »

Congratulations go out to Paul Hall and Jarrid Turner for their first place win at the Banks Lake Northwest Bass season opener!
Paul and Jarrid weighed in a mixed bag of 17.90 and took home just shy of $12,000.00 which included $7,000.00 in Triton Gold money!!!! This is the largest single placing payout in the history of Northwest Bass.

For those of you wanting more information about the circuit please check the web site at the NWbass.net website
Or contact Gary Stiles at 509 499-8797 or Jeff Priester at Nixon's Marine located in Walla Walla, Washington.

The next NWB qualifier is set to be held May 21 on the shores of Lake Washington. More info to follow.

The Nixon's Marine Invitational will be held May 7th and 8th. This event guarantees the first place team $10,000.00. The field is capped for Sat. and cut to the top ten teams day two. Weights for day two start at zero. Kent Brown (Ultimate Bass) will serve as the Emcee! We will post results!

On another note---The tournament forum for Pacific Northwest events is a great opportunity for those of us that live up here to brag a bit (not a lot) and hopefully raise the west's awareness of the great fishing and tournaments that can be found north of California. Thanks for having us and ----- Thanks Wayne!!!

Thanks for the post, Gair! The California guys have no clue how competitive bass fishing is in the Pacific Northwest. Getting over 100 boats in a single tournament should remind them of their good ol' days long past.

The competitors in your events are top notch angler's that have to learn to be competitive on both smallmouth bass and largemouths, fishing reservoirs, natural lakes, and the Columbia River system.

Looking forward to the Nixon's Marine Open in a couple of weeks at Moses Lake. $10,000 first place prize money sounds pretty good!

Every year it is a largemouth bass show, but one of these times Mike and I are going to win it with smallmouths. Looking forward to having kb back in town; one of these days he will have to step up and add some class to his Ultimate Bass show by showcasing some of the great anglers in the Pacific Northwest, and showcasing our great fisheries. How many places in California can you get a 20 pound sack of Smallmouths and not make the top ten cut?
