You were in the right areas. The north end of the lake turns on before the rest of the lake usually. I will be on the lake tomorrow and Sunday and probably won'y leave the north end.

Keep doing what you're going. If you know of any ledges just off shore these would be good starting areas for you. Then work your way towards the banks. The fish should be in a pre-spawn mode - trying to transition to the shallows.

Hope this helps....

We were there yesterday also and fished the same areas you did, started at Lucerne and fished around the top to Lakeport. For two of us in the boat we had about 17 fish. Best 5 between 17-18 pounds so sounds like we had similar results. We had 3 on white spinnerbaits including our biggest at 4.2 and the rest on jigs, brown/purple. We caught a lot of fish around docks, but not under them. The afternoon was better than the morning. It was cloudy and kinda cool all day. Also threw a swimbait some and ripbaits, but no takers on those. We recognized our weight would not have been competitive in a tournament this time of year, but still had a fun day. Quite a few boats out prefishing for the event this week-end. There were a lot of them beating up the usual community holes.
