Shimano japan service

I've heard that you guys won't service Japanese Domestic product. Is this true?

We can service the Japanese model reels. Some models use similar parts as far as gears and bearings. The spinning reels are vary different from ours and we do not stock parts for them. Parts orders can take 2-6 months from Shimano Inc. in Japan.

Typically the bait cast reels and conventional reels are easily serviced here.

will it still be under warranty is it is a japanese reel? how long does it usually take because i have a conquest 401 that is grinding gears.

We do not warranty the Japanese model reels. We still service the Conquest as if it were a CTE. These reels have a 48 hour tunr around time. You will be charged for service and parts ($25 + parts)
