Help with new Motorguide issue

#1 works ok, #2 a little faster, #3 is like number #1, #4 dead does not work, and #5 is very fast full power..................what may be wrong, is brand new out of the box from Bass Pro Shops ??

I have the same problem. Its going in the shop. Mine was used ten times. My buddy has the same problem with his.

Same with mine, it was something inside the head, or, at least that was what I was told?

On the new 5 speed Motor Guide, they have some problem with poor solder connection inside the motor.

Motor Guide is aware of the problem. You can take to a Motor Guide service center and they will replace the bad part.

I think a ups call tag should be sent to save us gas traveling back and forth for a product that is no good ???

Took mine in today. Said its a common problem. But once fixed it will be all good.

Went through two of 'em when I upgraded last year.

My problem wasn't solved till I ponied up for a MinnKota & shipped the 2nd bad one back (on me...). The motrdguide is a BPS!

Been very happy with the Minnkota, tho....
