Stripers

Post by bassmike »

I was planning on fishing out of a boat tomorrow 11/26, but broken jackplate changed those plans. Is there any piers/marinas/any type of access from shore where i can get into stripers? not looking for anything special just somewhere a bag of anchovies and a pole could put you into a bunch of schoolies for a day. I'm familiar with russo's marina area and thats about it, was thinking about big break area...any help would be great.

You might want to try Whiskey Slough that Cooch talked about in an earlier post.

Also, the Horseshoe Bend area around Decker Island is accessible from Highway 160. You can't miss the area because you'll see a lot of vehicles parked along the side of the road that belong to fishermen who are fishing for stripers from the shoreline.
