Where to take the boat/motor?

Post by Scott L »

Need to take the old Evinrude in for servicing/maintenance. Looking for recommendations (current) and I would be driving from Fremont. Would like to keep the drive within a hour.

Thanks,
Scott

It's more than an hour, but Lyle Gossett in Woodland is a wizard with the old OMC motors.

Take it to John Jay at Best Marine in Milpitas. That's where I take my ETEC ... great guy, great service.

I don't take my Evenruid any place but Marine Unlimited in Santa Rosa. Certainly worth the drive especially on a Saturday.

Another good guy is Alan at Marine Engine just north of Arch Road in Stockton off Highway 99. He is a wiz with the older stuff, and has a huge parts inventory.

His website for contact and dirtections is -

Good Luck!
