Special thanks to all of our sponsors who are supporting the Southern California and Inland Empire Regions. They are:
Roboworm, Rago Baits, Don's Smokin' Salmon BBZ Bill Siemantel, Team Davies Products, Perregrine 250, I-Rods, Basschow, Pink Stuff, Last Chance Bait and Tackle, Zank's Custom Worms, Anglers Marine, Andy's Automotive, 22nd Century Swimbaits, Pizz Customs, J&T Tackle, McSpins, Bully Baits, Rapala, Suffix, Upton's Customs, Nojo's Custom Baits, The Trolling Motor Doctor, Mercury, Simple Green, Monster Energy, Sav-On Tackle, Frankendonnie Custom Swimbaits, Donnie's Glass Repair, Donyns Rods, and many more are on the horizon.
Rago Baits are awarded to the team with the smallest limit and also the big bass of the contest. Troy Lindner will be awarded a 9" Rago swimbait at next months derby for catching his 4.20 lb big fish. Also, Scott Swank won an amazing looking Triple Trout custom painted by Pizz Customs as well as a Nojo's Customs gift certificate.
Our raffle at the end of the events is pretty awesome and better than any I've ever seen. I would imagine that the total is well over $1,000 per derby. All of the prizes are all excellent, not overstock items that don't sell. Although we're all enduring a difficult economic time, our sponsors have all invested in you and generously support us. Lets all make sure to thank the above mentioned as much as possible so they know how much we appreciate what they're doing for us.
Also, thank you to Mike and Lynne Peteron, Kathy Hartman, Stave Rauch, Bobby and Billy Nelson, and John Viazanko for helping me run the event. You guys are the best!
Our next derby is on Sunday, February 13 at Pyramid and the bite should be good. Please tell your friends who haven't been fishing our region to join us as I believe the Southern California region will once again be one of the strongest regions in the state.
Thank you for your participation and support everyone! I appreciate you!
Brian

Re: USAC Castaic Results
Brian , I just gotta say your doing an outstanding job Dude ! Your coverage on the events , the marketing of the events , the sponcerships and reffles , Thats whats bringing the guys back out . We cought our fith fish around 11:50 and the trolling moter broke at 12:05 . At that point I told Bob, Oh well, at least the weigh in and raffle will be good times , and it was ! What your doing is putting some fun back in the sport and thats whats going make this region a huge success.
Thanks again .
Thanks again .

Re: USAC Castaic Results
Great job Brian for putting together another great tournament. Bill got out for 4 days of practice, and I got out for a couple. One day he was the only boat on the lake all day.I think it was the day they closed the 5 interstate, very cold with snow surrounding the lake. It took that much time to break down the challenging and seemingly every changing bite there. As far as my mom's story goes, she sent me a text message at 6:02am reminding me that Saturday was her one year heart surgery anniversary and "to win it for her". And it was her second open heart surgery she has been through. She really misses going to the weigh-ins and talking to all the anglers. So I sent her a text message at 6:33am saying "I will catch a big one for you." It turned out be the 4 and quarter pounder.
Call now, and I'll TRIPLE the offer!

Thanks Troy! You are a class act and your story about your mom was awesome. Speaking of awesome, you need to send me that recording of Bob Fruge losing his innards on the lake. I'll find a way to put it on CD and play it during blast off at Pyramid.
Congrats again brother and thank you for your support!

I totally love the the scale pattern of your new fish though I would want the Corner Bakery gift hampers Walt won quite more some of those fishes are unbelievable when it comes to size! I just started fishing and I hope one day I can take part in your ceremony of competing and having a great time!
