Duh, lookie what I found!
Duh, lookie what I found!
a School of 2-5 pound stripers invading Mildred! Down in the SW corner behind the trees, a client and I stumbled onto them last Wednesday. We saw a couple of sea lions out in the middle gorging and fighting the gulls. We kinda mosied down that way, the water went from gin clear to chocolate milk and they were all bunched up in 2-5 foot of water behind the tree line. Blackie bite was so good Thursday, we never ventured in there, but I did go back and found them still there on Friday & Saturday! They were gorging lil 5A Firetiger Bombers and chartreuse Chatterbaits. They wouldn't touch anything else. Any of you guys heading out this week and blankin on the blackies, might take a quick check-see to see if the stripers are still there fer some fast and furious action! They were only in the muddy water, get to the clear stuff on either side, NADA!
