mono to braid leader
mono to braid leader
hey guys, i really did not realize that braid was so visible, so .can you put a mono leader on the end of the braid? or is that not a good idea......
Re: mono to braid leader
It is actually very common...as is using FC leaders. I use an improved Albright, but you'll find many people like a uni-to-uni connection.
Re: mono to braid leader
Definetly check out Knot wars on you tube for the Albright knot. Its proven better then any other connection knot and is less dense.

Re: mono to braid leader
the easiest and least time consuming knot I use to connect braid to floro or mono is the Seaguar Knot.

Been using this for about a year now and have yet to have the knot fail!

Re: mono to braid leader
Albright/improved albright all the way. I have fished it with a lot of combos. from 8# test mono and 30# spectra in freshwater to 60# flouro to 80# spectra for 100# yellowfin. Goes through the guides well and is easy to tie. I also recommend some spectra glue for protection. Makes the knot a little more durable.
