Ken, Help please w/ X135 and TM disturb?

I have an x135 on the front of my ranger and it is nearly black until it warms up and when it does it now has a big black line/space when I hit the trolling motor switch on and off. The ranger is a '05 and came with this unit, I bought the boat used and it didn't do this a year ago. I bought a LCX15-mt for a great price and want to put that up front. Do I have some sort of ground issue? Can I run both units(LCX15-mt up front and LMS480 at console) with gps? Will I benifit front doing so? Not happy at all with the x135. Eventually want to upgrade the lms480 too, but not yet...$$.

Sorry for the long, sporadic questions. Any help would be appreciated.

Does the unit have the black out issue only when you hit the button on the trolling motor? If so, does the unit have any issues when the trolling motor is off?

If the answer to both questions is "Yes", then it is a ground issue. If the unit has problems even when the trolling motor is off, then it is an issue with the unit. In this case you would need to call Customer Care at 1-800-324-1356.
