San Jose PD guys and their excuses. Sisto/Welton will be back to defend last years title and hang onto that trophy. That might have something to do with it.

Come and try and take away guys/gals. It's a great tournament for a great cause involving some of the best people you will ever meet.

Hey Steve,
Know any firemen? You can fish it with them too. I've fished it the last 2 years with my buddy who is a Capt. up north and it is a blast. Try Jerry B, or Ron C.

This is a great tournament and seems to grow each and every year. This is my 4th year in a row fishing it and I always look forward to fishing it. Out of the 15 or so tournaments I fish every year this is one of the best. It's not a big payday if you do well but the raffle, bbq and beer make up for that ten fold. Much more laid back than most tournaments I fish.
Only one person needs to be law enforcement of any kind, I think that includes corrections, or any fire personnel. These people can come from any county. Our department seems to add another boat to the mix each year, hoping for 8 boats this year.
Mark your calendars and sign up for this tourney.

Re: 2011 Cops/Firemen tourney **location changed**

Post by ken1117 »

After a very long, exhausting effort on my part to finalize all the details of this event at the Konocti Vista Casino and having little to no effort on their part, I've decided to change the location from the Konocti Vista Casino to our previous years location at the Lakeport Yacht Club/Skylark Hotel. Since the casino is a sponsor on this website, I won't bad mouth them, but lets just say I'm very disappointed.

The Skylark Hotel is reserving rooms for $55 dollars a night.

Any questions, let me know.

Re: 2011 Cops/Firemen tourney****RESULTS****

First I would like to thank everyone who attended the tourney this year. I hope all of you enjoyed the 2 day event and had a good time! Guys caught some good sized fish this year.

We had a lot of great sponsors this year that donated a bunch of raffle prizes! All the sponsors will be listed on our association website soon. Please partronize those companies/businesses as they supported us and our cause/event.

I did want to thank a couple that were a big part of the event. First is the Outdoor Pro Shop, who donated several hundred dollars of gift certificates, several fishing poles, including a GLoomis GLX. Ed from TackleIt, who not only donated some great raffle prizes, but also donated his time and assisted with the weigh-in on both days. I also want to thank the Skylark Hotel, who were more than accomodating when the "other" place didn't work out. Fox Fabrique, who put together the gym bags. There are a lot more businesses who supported us and I thank all of them!

I've tried to put up the results here as best I could. They will hopefully be up on our website soon as well. Here are the results:
