Citica regear question

I own a LH retrieve citica 201e I know that it can be regeared to 7.0:1 but can I order 5.0:1 for this reel?

There is no way to change it to 5:1 because we never offered a Curado 201DPV.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure. I was perusing tackle warehouse and noticed the new chronarchs 200e series that is coming out has the 5.5:1 (LH) retrieve I wondered if those gears would work. I guess a new reel is on the horizon.

The gears should work but it will be months before we have parts in stock for the new models.

Even better, I can wait... I love my curados and citicas and getting the lower gearing will be an awesome way to keep the reels and work my crank baits a bit slower. For a while I was using one of my citicas and just cranking slower and it worked well enough but I picked up a slower retrieve pro qualifier and it made a huge difference. It could all be in my head or an excuse to spend more money, who knows?
