Congrats to Mr. Jeff Jue and David Sanchez...(I had a feeling they'd win)

Good job to the rest of the field on such a tuff day.

I'm gonna take it easy the next couple of days and lick my wounds

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!

I don't know what the deal was with us then...only four keeper bites and two of those I farmed.

My head just wasn't in it, I dropped my $180 sunglasses over the side at blast off and I lost most of my culling ropes that were inside of my cooler...The cooler that blew out of the boat on the freeway during practice ...ha-ha.

Besides the catching fish part of today I enjoyed my father’s day. I even stopped at the aqueduct this afternoon with Dennis and stuck a fat striper.

Congrats to Jeff and David;

I too had an off day. My trolling motor cable broke around 7am. As if it wasnt tuff enough conditions with a trolling motor that worked.

Thanks again Jim Basham for loaning me your anchor and rope.

Later; Big Ed!

Don't get me wrong guys nothing personal. I sometimes feel if I'm catching fish then everyone else has to be whacking better ones than me.

Love it John,
Crying towel..... classic.
Overall fishing was a little off for this time of year.
In my opinion the main factor for it being off was a drop in water temp. over the last week. 6 to 8 degree drop can effect the bite. It looks to me like Jeff and a couple of other teams did a lot of on the water adjustments to stay succesful during the day.

Thanks everyone from my partner Dave and myself. It was a big win for us as it was my partners first win in a tourney and my first in a LONG time so it felt good to get the monkey off our backs. But going into this tourney we both felt pretty confident. I had found a shad bite going on but knowing the lake got beat up the all week made me decided to abandon that bite and just go do our thing. I talked it over with my partner as we were getting ready to launch and he was ok with my decision. Then hearing at the end of the day from others that the shad bite they were on died also made me feel better that I made the right decision.

But Ray is right, the dropping water temps did affect the bite over the past few weeks for us and we had to adjust each time out. We put some time on the water and had a consistant bite of 30-40 fish a day and it was no different yesterday. We had our limit by 6:23 and were culling by ounces all day. Big difference was the nice swimbait fish we got. I also had another swimbait fish that may have been in the 3 1/2lb range but missed it. Thought that might hurt us but luckily it didn’t.

Thank to JB and Ray for running a fun event and cant wait till the last event. It should take some good weight to win it and make the AOY race very exciting with any one of the top 5 teams having the chance to win it. Hopefully the fish are doing what they are suppose to be doing.

Funny how that works....You come to the weigh in with one fish thinking you've crashed and nobody has any....and the next tournament you come in having worked your a$$ for five off only to see everyone holding 5 bags of whales..... . Great sport and the fish can feed you humble pie without anybody else's help is the part I like the most. Me against the fish....I'll worry about how everyone else did at weigh in time :? .......

You guys are the reason we decided to do this trail. We felt a couple of things were missing in s. cal. team events. Fun was one of the major reasons to do this. Fishing should be fun first and foremost. Yes it is competative but fun needs to be in there somewhere.

I will continue to support TSJ and I have been spreading the word to fellow fishermen about what they are missing out on. I think in time if the economy picks up we could see 50 boat fields in the future.

ray i agree with you jesse and would of never been able to be in a tournament format with only one year fishing experience with a boat. most bass clubs draw for the tournaments which wouldn't give jesse and i a chance to fish together which is what it is all about to me. this way we can be competitive and still have a little chance even though i still feel out classed most of the time with better fisherman but most important we our having fun getting our butts kicked. mike austin

Sorry guys,
I have not had time to write a story for this tournament. I thought I would today but, My mother is in town and I need to go see her as well as get everything done on my 1 day off. It may not happen with a story but I will try to get it in today.
