I wanted to welcome James Benudiz and Marissa Rogers to their first tournament with the Top Stick Joes. Marissa's big fish of the tournament weighed in at 4.20#.

Marissa said she caught the fish on her first cast of the morning, around 9:30 or so. While Marissa's comment about when she caught the fish confused me it did get me to thinking about a Husband Wife only league.

I know my wife struggles to get up early and go fishing so how about we have a series that blasts off at 9 AM. Come in for a picnic style lunch around noon and go back out again around 1 or so and fish until around 3.

Since James and Marissa don't know me I will tell them now I'm kidding you guys and I'm glad you came out to fish. You guys did well on your first event with us and hope you will come back out next season.

Maybe you could start one hour earlier and squeeze in a little shopping for the lunch break?? My wife would go for that!
What you say is meaningless.........What you do is everything!

If there is a lake close to a mall maybe we can take care of that for you Ed

James and Marissa were real good sports at the awards. We did have some fun
I hope they will be back next season.
On a side note if she can catch a 4 pounder at 9 a.m. on Castaic I am looking for a new partner for a team circuit next year at Castaic. I can't even catch a 4 pounder anymore on Castaic.
