BE CAREFUL ON THE DELTA

Post by TRUFISH »

There was a bass boat accident this morning on the delta. There is a barge on the SanJanquin river by sherman dredging. A bass fisherman hit the underwater pipe with his outboard. The impact ripped the motor off the back of the boat and it landed in the passenger seat. The passenger was life flighted to the hospital and the driver was taken by ambulance. I did not c this happen but was told this is what happened.

Please guys, be careful out there and stay away from the barge.

This doesnt happen often, but it does happen.

Does anyone make a shut down device for motors like drivers wear attached to their life jacket? At the speeds we boaters run it would be worth having something like this that would shut off the motor after it goes past where Max tilt is.

Think you missed the point and subject. Rod is not referring to you getting thrown he is referring to what happened to Mike where his 250 Merc was thrown on top of him and his son after hitting a pipe. The motor was still running!!!!!
