Bay Area Tubing Suggestions
Bay Area Tubing Suggestions
I'm moving to the bay area and wonder if anyone has any tips on where to fish with a float tube? Prefer the south bay or peninsula. Thanks.

Float tube/kickboat club that has most of their members based in Santa Clara County. They do monthly tournaments from Feb-Oct, but don't do tournaments in Santa Clara county due to the miles of red tape involved there.
For lakes to tube in the south bay, heading south from San Jose you can try Calero in south San Jose, Anderson in Morgan Hill, or Coyote in Gilroy. All of them have plenty of bass, my personal favorite is Calero.
Not much up the peninsula that I'm aware of. The east bay has Quarry lakes in Fremont, Lake Chabot in Hayward, Lake Del Valle in Livermore, and then there is always the Delta.
BnT fishes the delta a lot!
Hope this helps!

www.sanjosebass.com has some members who tube south bay. They also have a delta tides sticky on the top of their freshwater forum that's awesome.
