Caenan vs. Caius?

Just received my new BassPro catalog. While looking at the Shimano reels, I noticed a new reel, the Caius but did not see the Caenan. Is the Caius meant to replace the Caenan? I see that the price for the new reel is $20 bucks less than the Caenan, but in the product description it does not list the VBS. I personally would rather pay the additional $20 and get the variable brake system. BTW, I have a Caenan and love it, it is a great reel for the money

The Caius does not have VBS, it uses a magnetic cast control. It also has a few less bearings. The Caenan is still the nicer model when compared to the Caius.
