**RIP Huell Howser**

Post by Caudawg »

I just learned of his passing this afternoon. I am so sad because I was very fond of his California Gold Series and actually just wrote him a letter a couple weeks ago to discuss California's "Outdoors Gold" and offered my assistance as a consultant should he choose to film some shows on CA's fishing and hunting opportunities.

I have crossed paths with him several times and enjoyed his efforts to educate Californians about the amazing history of this state.

Yeah, some say his style was a bit goofy but I loved every minute of every show. I especially loved learning about In and Out Burger where he was granted a very exclusive insider interview about that business model and company culture.

Huell had a special way about him, no doubt. He will surely be missed!!

I recently spoke their staff and heard that Huell had just recently decided to retire. The show would go on as far as re-runs but that would be it. Sadly, now it's official.

Saw quite a few episodes. The wife told me just before reading it here an hour ago. I liked his style.

Ah! That really sucks. I loved the slow and low key style. I hate when good people go. Kinda like Steve Irwin, that one sucked too.
RIP Huell.
