ClearLake Lodgeing

Post by bassman1975 »

I am planning a trip to Clearlake for the first time in two months. I am very excited. However I am looking for a place to stay. For example when I go to Havasu I stay at a RV park that rents travel trailer/5th wheelers that are permanently at this location. Because I am doing this trip this time alone I am looking for a cheep safe place to stay. I am planning on being at the lake for a minimum of 10 days. I have done some Google searching and have found place that rent cabins/houses. But they are a bit pricy (140.00 a night or more). Could anyone give me some info on places to stay? I would really appreciate it and I thank you.

Call the Kelseyville Motel and work a deal for an extended stay, good, clean and safe place with an outside grill set up to save some bucks.

I really like the skylark hotel in Lakeport. I have stayed there many times and feel like it is a safe place. It is right on the water and is close to anything you need.

Try the Mallard House in Lakeport. On the water, clean, kitchenettes, boat dock. Nice people

Konocti Vista Indian Casino & Hotel may have deals as they are where most tounaments launch from. They also bought the old Ferndale Resort on the water that has it's own ramp. I'll bet they would cut you a deal there.

Also try VRBO to see if you can rent a house for 10 days.

Konocti Vista Casino has OK rooms with the major positive being the boat slips which are powered and protected from the winds/waves. Also has lake front rooms with views of the lake. Small fridge and microwave in room.

Skylark has larger/nicer rooms, but the boat docks are not protected from the winds if it blows you will want to pull your boat. Skylark also has a nicer lake front area with bbq's and table provided. Rooms also have a kitchen option available.
fridge and microwave also in these rooms.

If it were me I would go to Skylark, but with being there 10 days you could go to a couple places. Ask for a fishermen rate when you call.

I would stay away from the Redbud Park area hotels.

Have fun!
