Bantam1,Shimano USA Stocking JDM Reel Parts???

Bantam1, I heard from a reliable Shimano Enthusiast today that Shimano USA will start carrying service parts for JDM Shimano reels. Is this true? I have a couple scorpions that need some new gears. If not, are there any US Shimano reels that share the same gears as the scorpion XT1001?

We just released the Metanium and Antares models for the US. We will have parts for those models. We will not be stocking parts for all JDM reels. Some already cross over with current US models.

What gears will fit the scorpion? Which US reel would I reference to when I order replacement parts???

I would need to know what year this model was made. Japan uses year models and not letter designations like we do. This could compare to the Curado E or B depending on when it was made.
