Kinami Yamamoto ?

Post by Biggvic »

Are kinami and Yamamoto senko baits made from the same plastic and mold and just sold under two different names?

Yamamoto is owned by Gary Yamamoto and Kinami is owned and operated by Derek Yamamoto; Gary's son! I was told that they are the same process/molds and recipes but I still have more confidence in the Yamamoto brand!
I just seem to think there are differences between the two!

They are one & the same. Kinami baits are packed in lesser quantities so the price is more affordable per pack.

Google Derek Yamamoto, it will give you the story of how the brand of Kinami was started by him and his wife. It seemed like a spin off of Yamamoto baits but they have put a different twist on things.
While using the same process to make the product I am pretty sure the recipes is slightly different!
Maybe Cooch can answer this as he is on the Yamamoto Pro Staff!

Both these quotes are 100% accurate. I've been lucky enough to staff for Yamamoto for years. Here is a link to an article I did on Senko fishing with Inside Line. Just my ideas on nail weighted Senko fishing.
