It took 21 lbs to make the top three tonight at the Mudville tournament out of Ladd's.
Brett Smith and his partner won the event with 21.93 that included an 8.17. Brett reported boated eight keepers using frogs, a Whopper Plopper and a dropshot. Their eight ate a frog in sparse tules at about 5 p.m. during the outgo. The rest of their fish were caught during the low.

Fishing their first tournament EVER, Ken Simpson and Andrew Clemons 21.68. They stated they got their fish on buzzbaits, Senkos, frogs and a ... Hula Popper. They said they fished water that was about four feet and caught about 20 fish in the event. Their biggest bit a buzzbait about 7:30 p.m.

Lorenzo Rossetti and Lemaj Plaza placed third with 21.12. Rossetti reported they fished a black frog and a Senko and catching 12 - 15 fish. He said they got all of their weigh fish on top with the predominant bite hitting about 45 minutes before dark.

Big fish honors went to Bryan Roland and Sal Herrera with their 8.27. They caught theirs at about 7:30 p.m. on a frog. Their total was 16.29.
