Shimano spinning reel

Post by griz01 »

I have a Stradic FJ 2500. The anti-reverse isn't working. I like to fix my own reels, just not sure which part(s) I need to replace. I live outside the Modesto area, not sure where to send it if need be. Any help would be appreciative.

Send it to Dan at ReelEx. They advertise on this site. They have a fast turnaround.

They've repaired and/or done maintenance of Shimano reels for a lot of readers on this site, including me.

Take it to the shop you bought it from.

More than likely the bearing is the culprit. They are really easy to change. You can send it directly to us for repair, to one of our service centers, or to Dan at Reel Ex. If you want to tackle it yourself you can order the part and spend 5 minutes replacing the bearing.
